PTA COVID-19 Updates

The Wilmore Davis PTA is committed to being a conduit of communication and resources for Wilmore Davis families in this uncertain time we are living through. First, we want to thank the Jeffco School District and our Wilmore Davis administration for activating so quickly to try to make this transition to remote school as seamless as possible. None of this has been easy, but we are encouraged by the sincere efforts and heart and soul that have been put forth by our school staff.

Principal Fischer has shared some updates with PTA that we want to pass along to PTA families.

We are all in this together and please let our school know if you or families you know need resources such as food and household supplies. Needs should be emailed to Andy at andrea.dettke@jeffco.k12.co.us

• Anyone who is able can can make financial donations to the Jeffco Schools Foundation
• You can make donations to WD families through Venmo. Please email Andy for more information about how to do that.  Some of the donations made to Jeffco Schools Foundation have already made grocery gift cards available to our school.

• If you are in a position to volunteer your time, you can help with shopping and food delivery for families that don’t have transportation.
• You would receive a list, a gift card and the family’s address and phone number. The food will be left by the front door to limit any contact.
• The other option is to bring the food to WD and efforts will me made to get it delivered it to the family
• You can bring fresh food, canned/boxed food and household donations (toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies) to WD on Tuesday mornings. We will put these in the Kindness Kloset to hand out during the week.
• If you are shopping for your own family and have the ability to pick up extra items to donate to school, it would be helpful. Even 1 roll of toilet paper out of a package (etc)
